Seriously thinking about buying a boat with a Thornycroft RJ2 vintage engine, 1937. Anybody have any experience of these engines? Wondering if there is someone out there who does servicing etc.

Just came across this thread. I am the owner of Darwen the Leeds and Liverpool short boat, thanks for all the positive comments. I bought her in France two years ago and brought her back to the UK. She has a Lister HA3. Much work has been done but we now need a partial interior re-fit so any recommendations for fitters/joiners in the area welcome.I will up load some pics when I have some spare time.
