  1. From Barnoldswick (barlick) Greenberfield Locks, East Marton, Bank Newton locks, Gargrave + Locks and then Skipton.

A beautiful part of the world to go boating and you're obviously hiring from canal escapes which are great boats, You'll have a great time and if you get to Kildwick (3 miles east of Skipton) then look us up.

If you need anymore info just send me a pm

Sorry to say Dave, hard times are ahead. I need another job ASAP as I cant live off the hours I am getting now. Selling is not set in stone yet so you've still got me about for now. Just weighing up our choices. Time will tell! Busy looking at down sizing the house rather than sell the boat.

Well if you do have to sell, you know where we are if you fancy a days boating

  4. We got a new landlord in the Anchor just before Christmas. Previous to this the pub was on a downward slide as far as quality was concerned. Thankfully the new landlord Martin has turned out to be a 'belter.

Old faces who went elsewhere are returning, good honest food is now served seven days a week, the staff smile when you come in now and the place is starting get busy again. At last!

Is this a "plug" for the Anchor?...Bloody right it is, perfect location and friendly locals help as well. Pop in and see.

    Andy.

Thanks for that Andy, I've avoided that place for some time now, it used to feel like you were doing the staff a favour if you went in for a drink and if you asked for food, well what can I say !!!!!

We'll give it a try when we come up in the Spring.

  5. I have a water filter on my boat, I change the filter when needed

and its fine to drink from the tap, I don't live on the boat and

only fill up with water when needed, we've never had a problem

    with the quality of water.
