You get what you pay for, we had a Springer in the family for many years and it was a great little boat and didn't cost us much,
we now own a Jonathan Wilson boat, a beautiful boat but it cost a lot more.
It all depends on your budget.

Surely 'Jus Chillin' doesn't need blacking yet ????
-
We've used Canvas man in Otley (West Yorks) and he was excellent, I suppose it depends which part of Lancashire you're in.
-
Never thought about it before but mine are screws !
-
We're on the Leeds & Liverpool near Skipton, I went to check my boat the other day and on looking in
the water at the stern I could see the bottom of the canal (it's not often it's like that)

Hest Bank, lovely moorings and just a stroll to the beach
-
Now that would be fun !!!!!!!

But, as Miss Duck mentions that she has just had the survey done, I infer that she has already found her boat.
I thought she meant the survey on her house that she's selling !

Luxurious way to do it if you have piles of spare money lying around.
I've a sneaky suspicion Duck Gurl hasn't the cash to take your advice.

I WISH !!! no money just plenty of debt but at least we've got something we always wanted
and we enjoy every second we're on it and no regrets,
Now if only we can sell the house we'll clear the debt

We decided to down size house and up size boat a while ago and therefore we put our house up for sale,
that was nearly 4 years ago !!! Anyone want to buy a house ????? it's still for sale so good luck to
you, I hope you have better luck than we've had with the house but as they say, "life's too short"
so we've bought a bigger boat anyway and we'll sell the house as and when
-
Have you asked Troy at Snaygill if he'll come and pick it up for you ? it's only a hour or so run
-
Saw this coming past on the L&L this morning
It's now moored at Micklethwaite facing Bingley 5 Rise, what a strange looking boat !!!

I've got them too but no idea what they are

Our stretch, (Kildwick / Silsden) was dredged a couple of years ago, you should have been up here before that Dean

when you had the survey done with these people ,did the surveyor let you shadow him and did he explain things in a newbie speak
I had Ian Jones and he insisted that if at all possible I should attend and 'shadow' him,
I did and it was very useful even though I was over 100 miles away I made sure I was there

I had a Vetus Mitsubushi on my last boat and it was a cracking engine, as long as it was serviced regularly it ran fine.
-
Is it the episode that shows 'Lady Teal' the widebeam 'boutique' all inclusive boat.
It regularly cruises round our way, a lovely boat with lovely owners
-
I've done the same, so I bought a kettle with a whistle, never forget now.
-
I think the M6 crosses the L&L and the Douglas between junctions 27 & 26 (just west of Wigan)

On our Springer we had the shower tray under a board that the porta potti stood on,
could it be there ? we had to move the loo when we needed a shower
