Just sent this to BWB.... What do you guys think about this? Dear Sir, date 1/11/2011 I just went to use your pump out facilities in Chester basin , next to Taylors boatyard...I passed by Tattenhall marina yesterday which is £15 for a pump out where a nice man does it for you , puts the chemical in and there is no time limit. I passed by because as far as I was aware the BWB pump out at Chester is a £10 card which I purchase from JP marine in Taylors boat yard. However there seems to have been a price increase which is total out of wack with the inflation rate currently in the economy with is at a very high 5.2%....BWB however without any warning have increase their pump out from £10 to £14.75 without any notice an increase of 47.5%. You say there hasn’t been an increase since 2007 ok maybe 20 % increase at a push but 47.5%!!! You also say this increase is necessary as it costs BWB £30 per pump out to deliver this service , do you think by increasing to this amount will bring you more revenue?...on the contrary I will no longer be using BWB pump out as I would rather have someone else do it for me and put the chemical in and not be on a time limit for the same price. Well done BWB you charge us a license fee but price yourselves out of the market on the services you provide. By the way what is the cost per disposal of a elsan toilet?.... cost per use of you loos....cost per litre of the water supplied at water points...might as well ask the bean counters now so you can start charging for these services too. Do you have any valid reason as to why I pay you a license fee and yet you provide a sub standard over priced pump out service? I shall also be posting this on any forums that will provide a platform for further discussion of this matter. Regards Tony Simpson
