Thanks,
I´ll give John Pattle a call and see what he says.
I did some reserch at work and it looks like Volvo Penta is next door to P&S marine.
I also found Bob´s email address on the web,not sure if it´s working.
After seaching for Bolinders i found this little neat tugboat in the netherlands, yes a bit of topic and maybe wrong forum but .

The only person I am aware of who has been re-building a Bolinder 1051 is Bob(?) Tidy, who used to run the bolinder-engines web site - which seems to have disappeared very recently.
He may have some suggestions and I think I have his contact details somewhere - others might be able to arrange an introduction too.
The standard "recommended contact" for Bolinder 105x spares and advice is John Pattle at P&S Marine in Watford, but he is normally involved with 3 and 4 cylinder engines and I can't recall his ever mentioning 1051 bits and pieces.

Hello,
New to the site and looking for parts....
Something about my self:
Working at Volvo Penta development in Gothenburg as a machinist/welder.
Hobbies is ofcourse boating, old stuff, old engines no matter if they are in boat or anything else as long as they are loud and smells its alright.
I also have some old pump lanterns(Tilly, primus, optimus, radius and colemans),nice lamps .
I have had an old tugboat built 1906 with a Seffle 340hp hotbulb(BIG engine).
I recently ran in to an old BM 1051 or as you say Bolinders 1051 but its missing the cylinder head, can anyone point me in a direction were to find one?
In sweden they are rare as hens teeth........they have all rusted out.
As im at Penta i migth be helpfull with old workshop manuals for Bolinders and old penta,i can do scan of old workshop manuals if needed.
Have a nice day

Finally got my hands on another 1051,a stationary model(fix 1500rpm).
I´ll look for new springs for the regulator and i will move all the marine parts over to this engine as its in pretty good shape.
Still no wet exthaust but i will build a manifold just to get it going.
A link to my videos at the tube:my crazy videos
Also two videos of my old boat at its first run since the late seventies....
What is the name of a boat that tows timber at small rivers and lakes in english?
Cheers
