My problem is I've got stuck in a rut through this year. Since the first lockdown he has been doing the shopping,  so I am uninspired and just putting the same old stuff on the list!

I love browsing and seeing what is on offer so could never do online food shopping.

So far this autumn  I have done several beef stews and a sausage casserole just using whatever veg is in the fridge.

Fuel boat - no 13kg propane.  Chandlery - none either.  I'm heading for cold food, no cooker,  but not very cold as no fridge, and no showers, down to my last 0.3 of a cylinder.

Whereabouts are you? We have plenty at Crick.

They are but no where near as ugly as a poxy satelite dish nailed onto the house that seemed to be everywhere for a few years. People dont notice how crap they are until there are non. I ran a pub in a village where tv aerials and satelite dishes were banned and the roof lines etc looked soooooooooo much better.

I remember working in Milton Keynes about 30 yrs ago and looking at row upon row of roofs with no aerials or chimneys and thinking how boring it looked.

Will use the laundry if we get Tolkien’s included in the mooring fee (why use our own electricity) and always for bulky items, such as dog beds, that won’t fit in our compact washer or dryer.  Never feel inclined to use the loo or shower, except for a few days when we were over optimistic in regards to the pump out tank!

Animal bedding is not allowed in the machines at our marina, would not like to use machines that have been used for bedding.

    No, its a Poynting.

Ours is the same system as Rusty's and we got a really decent signal when moored 20 yards south of the water point (southof the station) in Lower Heyford on EE. Good enough to stream via Netflix.......and Mrs Bob didnt need to dance on the bridge. I am very pleased with our antenna and router, now nearly 3 years old.

I had good signal on the waterpoint mooring, also on the second boat length  north of the bridge on the wharf moorings and on the first boat length north of the narrows all on EE

Reverse layout works for me because I have the right sort of reverse layout.  Cruiser stern, main entrance at the stern, then going forward kitchen --> living room --> bathroom --> bedroom.  The bonus benefit is that it puts my stove right in the centre of the boat.  So lots of heat to either end.  No need for an eco fan.

When I was boat buying I looked at a boat which had a truly bizarre layout.  It was a nice boat in lots of ways and the price was good but I couldn't have lived with it.  It was also a cruiser stern with the main entrance at the stern but inside it went kitchen --> bathroom --> bedroom --> living room.  I just couldn't get my head around it.

Exactly my layout but with dinette between kitchen and bathroom. Gives my best of both layouts with relaxing space away from all the work areas

My boat had these types of mat on the cruiser stern when I bought it. Despite looking like the will avoid water collecting, they didnt work and, once removed, we found a pretty rusty old deck underneath. So I wouldn't rely on them on the roof with coal sacks, unless I was disciplined enough to remove it all every few weeks and give it a good wash and rinse.

Have the same problem in my lockers. Put rubber mats in thinking it would let water flow out from under kit stored and am now having rust problems. Do not know what the answer is.
