Just gone up Tardebigge today, 3.25 hours, but that's not including the top lock. We didn't think that was too bad given it was just the two of us. Would have been slower if our three little people had come ot to "help"! However we were being chased down by a boatful behind us!

Went down and had a look yesterday, they're obviously still workin on it as it's empty! They have an open day planned for the weekend of the 15th, so I can't imagine they will be filling it again before that, but I may be wrong!

Oops, I didn't realise the 5 day opening applied to the G&S too. We're planning on coming down from Worcester to Saul and back, so we will probably spend a couple of days exploring Gliucester. When we book our locks for the Severn, will they want to know an approximate time of passage?

We are thinking about traversing the river Severn in late October. Looking on the Waterscape website it appears that we cannot get through on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and that we have to book our passage through the locks 24 hours in advance. Is this correct? When we book will we be asked for a specific time? Why is it that we have to book in advance in the winter but not in the summer?

Big dollop of horse poo was definitely still at Dunhampstead last weekend, right in the middle of the visitor moorings. How come they make more mess than dogs and yet they are allowed to leave it behind?
