  1. We have made the journey a few times before so have no problem with the location or the turning point , however the engine struggled against the tide last year its a forty five foot narrow boat powered by a 25 HP engine

  3. Can anyone tell us what time we should leave Teddington lock going to Brentford so we have slack water on the Brentford turn on either Thursday the 3rd or Friday the 4th may. And if Brentford lock will be open on our arrival All the best Mick

Once again cheers all for the help we normally fill two five litre cans and two ten litre cans between the two of us which seems ok to the petrol stations not got bikes so that's out the boats 32 foot so might try going up the Leicester arm a bit Anyway off to start filling up petrol cans for the holiday, wish we had a Diesel engine

Hi all we are doing the Thames ring starting from Weybride on the Thames on Monday 31/08 heading downriver from tedddington to the GU then Oxford canal we have a petrol outbound so would like to know we're the petrol stations are next to the canals, ie on the Thames there's one at reading at telcos with no real walking involved. Hope there's a few at the canal side en route to make it easier all help welcome and cheers in advance
  7. Looked at the locks they want the same money ads pyrford marina on the wey I was thinking of going on the national trust waiting list on the wey but need mooring offer by April so don't think there would be time cheers for all your help so char anyone know any bankside mooring further upriver
  8. Yes marinas are very expensive however I was looking more towards bankside or island mooring I'm moored at sunbury at the moment but there increasing there fees to £2100 which is more then there worth so on the hunt for moorings further up the river

  10. Hi all I am looking for moorings on the Thames between Teddington and reading I don't need Electric or water it's not for living on the boats a 32 foot narrow beam ready to moor from April. the boats has a current BSS and is fully insured All the best mick
