  3. Hello and welcome to our forum . . .

  4. Hi there I'm desperately hopeful for some advice on how to re-caulk my 1932 wooden river cruiser. I took her on in a rather sad state, with no prior boating experience and have begun the lovingly painstaking slow process of restoring her to the best of MY abilities! I am hoping to take her out of the water in early October to have a look at the bottom. I'm totally out of my depth as I don't know what I need to do once she is out but I willing to give it a go, being the hardworking fast learning female that I am. So my question is what do I do? Do I need to keep her wet? I've been told to caulk her but what is this and how do I do it and where do I get the materials? Also once caulked do I paint over her or use bitumen? Any advice would be hugely appreciated, so thanks in advance.
