Hi, Thanks to all that responded. The smoke is a very light blue. I think Tim's answer about every oil change is a valid comment. Cheers all.

I have a 20 year old BMC1.8 engine that smokes badly on start up, although this decreases after about 5 mins. Has anyone used "Engine Restore" from Americantechnology.co.uk and if so did it work for them.
