I have just joined the forum. Tracey and I, Rick are the landlords of The Swan (Mucky Duck) at Fradley Junction.
We, like many people do not want the High speed link going through (near) Fradley Junction. This may smell of "not in my back yard please" but really, we love the junction. A special place and surrounding area. Do we need this link? Does it have to follow this route? Can the country afford so much to build it, especially when the project runs over budget? There are many questions and points of view.
The route of the link had been planned to cut through Lichfield. The current route is actually a result of a rethink. Well, they can think again.
Fradley Junction has recently fought the plans for an opencast gravel quarry, less than a quarter of a mile from the junction. This is now on hold.
There will be a petition starting soon which can be added to in the pub. If anyone wants to help out with this, they are more than welcome.
