  1. There doesn't seem to be a slipway anywhere near us. I suppose another 'solution' would be an inflatable with a lightweight (possibly electric) outboard. What are your thoughts? I did look at Waterscape, but there did not seem to be a lot on boating other than narrow boating.

I would love to buy a small low speed 4 seater boat and travel up and down the Grand Union Canal near me on the odd day, however I am unsure of regulations and also how to get the boat in the water. We hired a small boat at Henley and loved it. Not even sure what the boat type is called...it had 2 bench seats, a steering wheel and a throttle on the right hand side. I have looked on the web, but the nearest (in looks) was a small speed boat, however speed is definitely not what we want. Any ideas what that type of boat is called? Thanks in advance Spence
