  15. Bicarbonate of soda is another option, for stainless steel & chrome. If you have 'brushed' stainless steel items, these have a grain, so go in same direction. Use bicarbonate sprinkled onto damp cloth or sponge, clean off residue with clean damp cloth & then buff up with a dry cloth. Can be used on bicycles or motorbikes with chrome parts too, mix it into a paste with water, smear it on chrome & leave to dry naturally, when dry, buff it off with clean dry cloth Bicarb's great for all sorts of things from deodorising smelly shoes & trainers, using as a mild fungicide for powdery mildew, repelling slugs,treating cold sores & chicken pox, softening water in your washing machine or you can cook with it if you want to!
