  1. Hi, I have not longed owned my boat and the hull needs blacking. How do I black it, whats the process from the min its out of water?, Also how many coats, and where is the nearest place to Doncaster for it doing. Thanks A
  2. Hi, when I get a shower I spend about 2-3 mins and then the water goes cold and the boiler goes off. No pilot light, I've not got the cold tap on at the same time either. The gas bottle is full, the regulator is fine and fastened on properly and the cooker works fine. Anyone had the same problem before, or know what to do? Cheers A
  3. Hi, my boat is ready for painting, its in an awful blue which isnt glossy and a grey top which I hate! Im going to paint it a beautiful oxford blue inc stern and bow and the roof in a cream colour. Has anybody got any photos of their boats in same colour format?. Thanks
  4. 10mm and 15mm pushfit stop end ordered of eBay brought 2 didnt know what size copper pipe was, mind only costed 4 quid so not bothered. I cant imagine the stop end being quite big, for £1.44 inc P&P. Will turn of 12v, remove tube from copper and remove O ring then fasten stop end then take tube from slope under wall and return it back to toilet then just remove the toilet once the stop end is on. Phew ...... To say I was seriously considering paying a plumber to come and do it to save the hassle. Thanks Paul really appreicate your help & advice.
  5. Just seem to have a slight problem now, where you have said to remove the tube which the O RING fastens it onto the copper, their is just enough room to get my finger to touch the copper because of another pipe at the side which is the taps - shower pipe. Just to confirm, if their is a solution, I just turn the 12v of tempoaray to stop the pump from working - acting.
  6. Hi PC, thanks for the reply. With using a speedfit push fit stop end, will it just slide on or will it need screwing on like the tubes coming from the copper to the toilet?? And as for the hole, welding over, and wood placed over it, fastend securely along with the casette on top. And yes its been pumped out, and never used, has several blue in ! Thanks Andrew
  7. Right, I have a Traveler Sealand pump out toilet. Disgusting yuck! hence the reason why I have just purchased a brand new thetford casette toilet. However, where my Traveler toilet is, im wanting to take it out, seal of the hole, and put my casette one over the hole as their isnt any space to put the casette on the boat other than their because at the moment the casette toilet is on the shower tray, and have to lift it to put it on top of the Traveler one everytime I want a shower!. After gearing up and courage, I investigated further into removing the toilet and moved the pedestal cover, discovering 4 BOLTS, which I assume once undone the toilet will then lift off!. However, I need to disconnect the water supply from the toilet. I have followed the tube which the water supply comes in from and it is fastened onto a copper pipe with a brace clamp in the bedroom. I cant see where the copper pipes are going - leading to. Obviously I dont want to just unfasten the water pipe and water spurt all over and flood the bloody boat, but people has suggested turning of 12V supply or drying tank out. If I do that, min I water up isnt it just gonna shoot water out because their will be nothing to control it. So basically, instructions how to take the toilet out really desperately needed. Thankyou!!
  8. Hi, I have seen a few boats that has canal world forum stickers on. Where do you get these from? Thanks
  9. Id try eBay, may be worth getting something good at a great price and then paying for travel cost to get it, that way it balances it self out ! (thats if you get one at the right price that is)
