Small taper hand forged windlass, handle is worn flat possibly from storage over a long period of time in vibrating conditions, perhaps on the stern hatch bouncing up and down to the beat of a bolinder pup. Found in the Grand Union. This windlass has some markings but they are too worn to be legible.
