does bitumen stick to vactan?

Hello

Just about to start blacking my boat and was planning to use a coat of vactan around the water line before the bitumen (Rylard Premium Protection), as suggested by various people on this forum.

 

Does anybody have any feedback yet about how well the bitumen sticks to the vactan? I understand that there are mixed feelings about using any sort of primer and many people say that bitumen would be best going straight on to bare metal.

Bitumen will tend to slide on any kind of primed or painted surface, consider using black tar varnish
