Godiva Festival - 29 th June to 1st July

If anyone is looking for a destination late June this year they've just announced the line up for the Godiva Festival in Coventry. For those that don't know about it it's a free weekend music festival and this year the Olympic torch arrives on Sunday evening. It's about 1 mile away from the City centre so it's probably about 30 minutes walk from the canal basin.

We go most years (walking distance from home). It's great fun and usually well attended. Saturday afternoon is also the Carnival parade.

 

Last year The Selector played live, this year its Neville Staple from The Specials.

A better overall Festival (free music, good selection of food and stalls) is happening the same weekend in Stratford upon Avon............

 

and you can get a boat moored next to the festival site !
