Widebeam or Dutch Barge Hire

Hello,

I'm looking for a hire firm that offers a widebeam or (preferably) a dutch barge vessel. Location is less important than the boat.

I've found a couple of Irish options on River Shannon and Moonraker narrowboats. Surely there are others?

Thanks,

Depends what you call wide beam. Boats having beams in the 10'6" to 12' range are readily available on the Norfolk Broads, mostly centre cockpit cruisers, although some (the more expensive ones) have flying bridges. There used to be several hire firms on the Thames too, but perhaps they have mostly converted to narrow boats to allow their clients to use the Oxford Canal.

Try the Hoseasons website or Blakes the other main booking agency.
