......those that campaigned, raised money, gave up oodles of precious time and worked really hard to acheive the re-opening of the Huddersfield Narrow canal.

 

I came up as far as Slaithwaite over the weekend and was very impressed with what has been done there in recent years. Without it I would be stuffed!

Well done, mate! I know that bit of canal (from the land only, my ex's brother and his family live in Marsden. Plenty of locks to keep you amused!.

 

BTW I think the locals call it slewitt, or something aproximating that!
