Mansfield to Gerrards X crossing at Trent Lock

Featured Posts

On the weekend of 27th-29th June over 60 Barclays Bank employees are attempting a charity walk in relay from Mansfield Notts to Gerrards Cross Bucks principally following the Erewash canal, River Soar and Grand Union canal.

We are looking to achieve the 159 miles in 48 hours with a continuous walk. We are raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Donations being matched by Barclays Bank. See www.justgiving.com/centrallinechallenge

It would shave a bit of the distance and time if we are able to cross the Trent at Trent Lock by ferry rather than cross at Sawley Bridge.

We are looking for a boatman with a big heart to get us across the river some time late on Friday evening (27th June) Can anyone help? There will be about 6/7 in the party on that section of the walk. Ring me on 0777 55487773 if you can help.

do you no roughly what time ,as we have the dockyard at trent lock and have access to a cruiser

let me no and i,ll pm the skipper to see if he will be there

The team leave Shipley Gare at approx 6.40 pm and are due at Kegworth at 10.35 pm so I reckon they would be at trent Lock around 9.15 pm give or take 1/2 hour.

It would be really good if you can help.
