Barry posting as Lemontoes......
We find ourselves overnighting in Shipley spending time with rellies.....
We are staying in the Ibis hotel which is close to the canal.
Can anybody recommend a dog friendly pub where we can get a meal this evening (Saturday)? Beside the canal would be a bonus.

If they won't do food for Sunday, is it worth asking if they would allow takeouts?
-
No. But I'm working on the principle that, much like kids, you just let them do whatever they want and then fill them with sugar and e-numbers shortly before you hand them back.
Whereas my boy dug his heels in, pulled back, and flatly refused
That's because he is a good boy, and his dad has told him he is not allowed.

I hope they order extra cake if you are going
Cheeky!
(But it might be worth ringing ahead to make sure)

I missed the train last year, so will look forward to that.

I have had enough too. I am painting and sleeping....sleeping some more and painting....want to get back to fitting the rest of my life in there somewhere......
-
I've got it too! Started on Monday. Been really struggling to carry on painting. Managed to get my work done this morning, so I can just flake out now. I've only read the last two pages of the thread.......so who hasn't got it?
-
Glad it's all getting sorted

Thanks to everyone who came and made it what it was. Special mention to Sue and RLWP with core banter-boat Tawny Owl, as well as Odana & John and Wriggly, for hard work in food provision and general organisation!
I love staying on Tawny Owl.....thanks to Sue and Richard for all the hard work and making me so comfortable amongst what were only a year ago strangers!
'Anyone fancy coming to do a few locks?'
Richard
I WAS duped, but didn't mind at all as the rain stayed off, the company was good and the pre-lock fish and chips were the best!

I wont be
Woke up this morning with the Wee Beastie sat on my head as normal so I'm setting off in about an hour.
:clapping: Wonderful...... see you there

What postcode will get me to where I need to be tomorrow?
-
Farm shop closed until June 19th! So.....not being a black pudding connoisseur myself, which is my best option between Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons?
-
Do we have a rough guesstimate how many for breakfast?
-
Just checking before I walk up to the farm shop. Nobody has said not to get black pudding, so I am presuming that means yes? How much?
-
Hoping to arrive Friday (TOMORROW!!!) by car, with the aid of my new navigational device. Think I am picking Headjog up on the way........just waiting to hear from her.

On mine (squirrel), I gave up trying to loosen the screws. As long as the clips still move you should be able to slide the glass in.
-
Then we'll all raise a glass to your Mum
Thoughts are with you,

I think I would struggle with the screen on my phone. I would have to pull over to look at it.

I think that Tom Tom sounds like the best bet for us. Will probably go and look this afternoon.....Much as I loved the lanes around Burton-on-Trent!

Not strictly boating equipment but linked. My Mum and I are thinking of getting a sat nav for our shared car. I have accepted getting lost as a normal part of driving for long enough, and have already seen (and appreciated) a great number of scenic routes. I am not only driving to the next boaty banter, but picking someone up on route so am quite excited at the idea of having something taking responsibility for the map reading. Mum is often responsible for picking up and dropping off crew to wherever I am on the boat, a sat nav would make this easier. I no absolutely no idea how to choose, as there seems to be an awful lot of them out there.

Wellcome images.......

Without going back and double checking, am I right in thinking no one is down for black pudding on the breakfast list..... Put me down for that if no-one else is.
