Did the roller and brush method on my campervan last year and will be doing the same to the boat this year. Best tip I had from a neighbour who's a vehicle finisher was to use Masons paint from an automotive supplier.
Loads of colour choice, it's designed to be applied by hand / roller and given the quantities needed for a 70ft boat will be a lot cheaper than buying in silly little tins from the swindlery...!!
Also, the longer each coat has to cure the better...paint takes a lot longer than you think to fully harden.

Been running three computer fans mounted to the bottom of mushroom vents to aid moisture extraction in winter....works a treat by the way..
They all have 68ohm 1 watt resistors fitted with no problems at all. With this value resistor the fan runs virtually silently as one is mounted above the bed. The fan in the kitchen has been running constantly for nearly two years now!!

A boat and a campervan is a great combination, especially if you have a dog or two (back on topic).
I miss my old bus. But hopefully, soon.....

Started off using one of these beauties back in a former life when I used to be a TV repairman....!
Anybody else remember hybrid Decca Bradfords, G8-550's, Dorics, Thorn 300 chassis.....
My old boss used to light his fags by wrapping a rizzla paper around a long screwdriver and then short from chassis to the PL500 valve top cap...big blue spark!
Still have my AVO MK7 on the boat today...somehow seems wrong to part with it and it's still useful.

Had similar problem, solved thus...
Drain the system.
Assuming you have an immersion heater fitted, take it out.
Dry and clean the inside of the cylinder around the pinhole via the immersion mounting hole.
Make a 'patch' from any old bit of cloth thoroughly smeared in silicone sealant. stick this to the inside of the cylinder covering the pinhole. Wiggle it a bit to ensure good coverage of the silicone. Leave overnight to cure.
Rebuild and re-fill system. The water pressure pushes the patch onto the hole. Job done.
This method works for a 90mm crack in my cylinder, stands up to vibration and expansion and best of all costs next to nothing and can be done in-situ.

Been living on an 80's boat with a 6mm hull with pitting for the last 7 years....
No problems whatsoever!
Black it every couple of years, painted the underside of the base plate once ....just for fun..
Saw a similar boat having the bow chopped off to lengthen it and the quote from the guy with the cutting gear was " this old steel is as hard as nails ".

But that would be a Quorn sewerage farm and therefore smells of Lavender and freshly ground coffee.....LMAO!

Best pub has to be the Navigation at Barrow on Soar. You can moor directly on the beer garden wall...(spent Christmas there!). Great atmosphere , food and beer!

Any old tiles you like....Just add PVA to the adhesive and grout to stop any fine cracking.

My water pump is letting out more water than my shower head..!!!

Just use 15mm copper from the speedfit reducing tee to the compression fitting of the TRV....no need for any inserts then!
Never a good idea to use compression directly to speedfit ,whatever the insert.

I have a medium size towel rail on my boat. It had a 100w element on a basic mechanical timer, comes on for an hour or so in the morning, same at night.
It gets too hot to touch!! Plus I have toasty warm towels every morning.....
Based on this , a 65w element should be reasonably warm!
Towel rad was about £25 from B&Q and the element was about £8.

It's me with bargain poo pump system!!
May take a little time for another one to appear , try searching for 'jabsco macerator pump' on ebay...
The pumps are available in the UK but tend to be in the £150 category.
Been using mine for the last two 'pump outs' and it's been fine. Quite a high current draw when working hard , overcome by putting a spare battery on the boat roof and connecting directly to it with a short lead. Two trips with two containers to the elsan point later and job done. So far thats £24 offset against purchace cost...wont be long before showing a profit!
Also easier this time of year is not having to move the boat, as we are on the river and it can be 'entertaining'....

Depending on what time Julie finishes work etc I expect we will be leaving late afternoon-ish. Probably have to get Julie on the bow with a big torch to light the way as I never got round to refitting a spotlight after John did the cratch!
Moored in Luffbra near B&Q loads of times, never any bother and loads of room for Bob the dog to run around in . This time of year there should be more than enough mooring space for everyone.
We once had a bo==ocking from the guy in the corner house near the Albion as we were sat on the stern drinking Voddy. Fair do's though...it was half past three in the morning!!

Never heard of the bio washing powder idea before so thought i would give it a go...
Our holding tank is a dump through type, and normally trouble free...Until the weather warms up, then it develops 'the breath of satan' when used!!
All the vents are working as they should, there is just a rather nasty whiff! (Poor old dog gets the blame usually)
Anyhow, threw in a generous handful of el cheapo bio washing powder at the weekend (cost £1.20) and whilst I can't truthfully say it smells like a spring meadow the nastyness is dramatically reduced. Quite impressive results for a cheap, simple, solution to a whiffy problem.
