I have my name down on a waiting list for a residential mooring
outside the city centre i have seen this tendering for a mooring before
but i wouldnt know what would be a reasonable bid to offer ?
This one wouldnt suit me as it doesnt offer any parking facilities.

right, so the bikes don't go to fast them really.
I have a electric folding bike & ive used it to go to work on 3 miles each way i think its quicker
than a push bike & it had plenty of charge left in it to last the week its very quick considering
that im a bit on the large side.

I have been asked to go on a LAMPING course, its a course for training me how to change light bulbs. I have to have a step ladder assessed of course by the health and safety, but im not sure if i need someone to hold the ladder or not.
B/W what next.
Erm excuse me sir but i hope you dont intend to climb that step ladder without a
safety helmet & high vis vest & goggles or the health & safety police will beat you
round the head with a rolled up health & safety policey.

The old dear that lived next door to me recently past away so the council started ripping out
her old kitchen & bath room suite & carpets & replaceing them with new stuff over a couple
of weeks i didnt mind that to much as i was at work from 3 in the morning till 12ish.
The council moved in a familey of somalians & thats when for 4 weeks i had nothing but
arguments with them they were in for a couple of days & at 930 at night they decided to
put a sattelite dish on the wall this bloke had got his hammer drill going i went out & had
a word with him he appologised & carried on then over the next few weeks always around
930 at night they would start hammering or banging around doing DIY jobs i never heard a
sound out of them during the day.
In the end i phoned the council up & had ago at them & told them to sort it out because i had
had enough of it they said they would send them a strongly worded letter & if there was no
change i was to keep a diary of any unreasonable behaviour & after 4 weeks i was to contact
them again & they would come & see me & speak to them about it.
Fortunatly the letter seems to have worked ( touching wood ) but at the time it was realy getting me
down on top of the that i had recently lost my mother & i realy didnt nead this s*it going on.

The Aquiline shells are built and fitted out in Gdansk in Poland, the look good quality from what Ive seen. Mark (Willawaw) has visited the factory and was complimentary from what I recall, perhps he cn expand ?
Yes they make them in poland & bring them over by lorry theyve got a great finish
to the shell & interiour & they dont seem to be as cramped as most narrowboats
to move around inside from one end to the other myself & my girlfriend were well impressed
with the one we looked around at the NEC.
We had a invite from the new boat company to have a look around one they had moored at
thier boat yard earlier this year but we couldnt make it as we were away in my motorhome
at the time it wouldve been there

When i used to drive a truck down to oxford monday to saturday i always noticed a
narrowboat moored up just before a lock on the canal near J9 it was there for well
over 3 months it was occupied because there was always smoke coming from the chimney.
It didnt look like they were planning on moving at anytime.

Can anybody tell me what the differance between a long term mooring
& a residential mooring is ?
I have checked a couple of wharfs web sites in my search for a residential mooring
in my area & it says short term or long term & none residential moorings available.
Cheers
