  1. No sorry I can't be doing with that. If every one puts their crap in the canal then we will be back to how it was 100 years ago.

If there's bins..I don't do it..but as they are 2 little yorkies..it Will take a long time to fill the canal.so don't worry too much.
  2. Who cares what the laws say..common decency dictates..you pick it up. If I can..I kick it in the cut..if I can't then I bag it..as all decent folk should..no matter what the law says

  3. After 20 plus years I confess you are right things afloat are not as good now as they were then BUT living in a house is no fun either and decidedly worse than on your boat. I hope land works out for you but fear you may soon wish to being afloat again, I occasionaly now my old mum is on her own have to stay overnight in a house ( A beautiful detached 17th century stone cottage ) and cannot wait to get back on board. :)

I have just over a year , so maybe in that time , he may change his mind . I think its the fact that we are getting older , losing a few friends , and hes thinking , what would happen , if anything happened to him.

  4. We always pick up..we also sit in our boat and watch others that don't. We leave a pack of poo bags readily available. .On the stern of our boat..with a note saying feel free to take 1. Then you get the jokers who cruise by..with the dogs running along the towpath..who have no intention of picking up. Its not the dogs fault.its lazy inconsiderate owners. We used to see 1 lady regularly not pick up..even when challenged..so I picked up after her..bagged it and posted it through her letterbox. She called the police..nice policeman really struggled to keep a straight face..I admitted I had done it and explained I was just returning her property. The outcome was she picks up by us now lol.
