Hi there,

 

I'm looking for a replacement fridge. Can anyone recommend a model? It needs to be 12v or 24v. I'm never on shore power so I'm interested in efficiency running on battery power,but something with reasonable capacity.

Hi,

 

our boat has a convection heating system connected to the back boiler of the solid fuel burner. When we left her for a few days last week the copper pipes froze up & popped a few joints. I was musing would it be possible to put anti-freeze in the system, does anyone do this ?

ah, I see. I think the middle levels is restricted to 60ft, we are 62ft.

 

Anyone know if that is correct ?

has anyone (indeed, is it navigable) gone from the river Nene to the Ouse, along the coast of The Wash, in a narrow boat? If so, is it a hairy journey & how do you plan the tide movement ?

 

I'm wondering if I can get from Grand union to Cambridge in a 62 footer basically.

Hi all,

 

I am casting around for a second hand widebeam or maybe a sailaway. I see lots of boats by the Liverpool Boat Company, but I also hear some negative things about them. Is this just because they are a mass producer or are there some genuine grievances with the builds? I'd be interested to hear from anyone with any experiences, positive or negative.
