Have had 6x2v traction batteries for 10 years and can still do a full wash and dry in the machine with no problems.

If it happens again check the carbon brushes in the motor. Mine did the same thing and it was an easy fix.

Built my widebeam 8 years ago, very happy. They will go the extra mile to please if you want any thing differant from the norm.
There are plenty of people at Redhill to offer help and advice on fitting out. There is a good chandlery nearby who are very happy to
offer good advice.
I live at Redhill and hope to see you here soon.

I have a hurricane that has now done 7,000 hrs without any problems except compressor that has now been rectified. I service it twice a year, it takes 1hr max. It heats my 57 x 10 wide beam very fast. Would recommend it to anyone.

Hi. I have had sky for 5 years on my boat. first i was told by sky that it was not possible because i did not have a land line, but i put forward the point that not everyone had a land line. After a few calls they told me i would have to pay £25 connection charge which i did, no problems. Last year i upgraded to Sky+ which they would send an engineer to fit, as i had wired up the twin leads to the lmb all he did was fit the new lmb and tune it in. Again no problems. When i go out on the boat it takes me no longer than 5 minutes to tune it in.

Hi John.
Had Zinga on my hull from new (5 years ago). I drydocked the boat 2 1/2 years ago to have the rudder worked on. Thought I would have it blacked
at the same time by the guys who run the dry dock. Their comments where that it did not realy need doing as there was absolutley no signs of any
corrosion. Thay jet washed it and it looked as good as new. I had the blacking done anyway. Thay said not to bring it back for annother 7 to 10 years.
I am a liveaboard and go out with the boat regulary so it gets a few scrapes but thay never go rusty. I cannot see any corrosion so am very happy.

According to the latest issue of the BW magazine, every lengthsman should have a supply of forms for you to fill out regarding any "incident" on the waterways - from accidents to vandalism.
It would be worth filling out one of these too - at least there will be something in writing lodged with BW in case things get worse and they try to plead ignorance!
How about one of these forms on line that we can e-mail direct to BW?
