How much diesel does an Eberspacher (sp?) use per hour (or whatever unit you wish to use).

Electrical consumption of an Eberspacher for a popular sized NB is around 115 watts. Diesel consumption can be as high as a litre an hour if permanently on high, again though on average ran for a normal 24 hours I'd say around 15 litres. A diesel stove such as a Refleks is a bit less. As for pump outs, if you have £20 ready that'll cover all instances.

I'd suggest possibly a Viking 23, 26 or 28 which are popular up here on the Ouse & Ripon canal . Many river craft tend to be wider usually 10-12ft, even the older Hamptons, Seamasters and Freemans tend to be over 8-9ft wide.

Hi guys, this is a new adventure for us having spent the last decade invading all corners Europe in our motorhome(s). Our only boating knowledge stems from an annual Broads holiday for the past 25 years. (NB from Rugby back in '82 with mum & dad.)

 

We'll be looking for a 50ft new build within the next 12 months so any advice from you knowledgeable folk will be greatly appreciated, vertical foldover mattresses, diesel or multi fuel stoves, bow thruster yes/no etc etc.

 

I'm a fairly active participant on the motorhome forums so I'm looking forward to this...
