Oh I see - its a box section.
At first look, I thought it was a wraparound steel sheet, but now having read your comment here and your post on the forum about having the gas aft, I can see that it is a locker - Sorry Jolly.

What is the correct name for the covered section wrapped around the stern ??
I saw one on a Severn Valley boat which was being built for an owner with dogs and they had a specific name for it, but I'll be blowed if I can remember what they said - must be my age.
