I don't own a boat in any way shape or form, I like to make that clear now. I am however assisting with a major re-build of a shell owned by my good friend and Bro-in-law Joe who (like me) knew absolutely nothing about the subject when the shell was first purchased. As we both don't know, we thought that TWO dumb-heads would be better than one when it comes to researching and understanding the subject matter. Finding out the right answer can sometimes be too easy, with the hard work sometimes being WHY it's the right answer.

So far we have a 57ft hull of unknown origin (12mm-6mm?) and what there was of the top cabin has now been removed. The nb HAS been "in the water" (pitting evident) but has never been powered before. The nb is landed in NW BRUM while we live in LUTON, so the first major milestone is to "make a sail away" to bring it back closer to home via the GU.

We have a long way to go with EVERYTHING to do.
