  1. I burn a Russboy tablet in my diesel stove periodically to keep it clean. Then every couple of months I do a full 'scrape and hoover' clean.

Also, I replaced my very ordinary chimney cowl with a Smokey Joe cowl and the improvement was massive - highly recommended.

See my rather tasty Smokey Joe, chimney and cowl for sale on classifieds on here!!!!!

  2. I replaced mine with a end of line ...Ring Smart Charger Pro RSCPR50 stunningly robust construction, rubber end caps on casing, silent running, additionally there's a plug and play remote display(SmartCharge Pro Remote Control RSCPRC) for handy tinkering, function changing or actually seeing battery voltage.

i think the 50A from local motor factors was under £80 with the extra remote coming in at around £17.

I purchased another 35A for use with my classic cars... highly recommended

  3. Rash and speedy, i was offered a job in a area i didn't want to buy a house.

From thinking about a narrowboat, purchase, and moving it by road through time constraints i was in and sorted in just over a fortnight.

I'd never been on a narrowboat before, very fortuitious having wise and savvy neighbours in next moorings on marina after purchase.

Sometimes you can just over think things.

  4. I put mine on apolloduck on a free advert listing, however this is rather limited picture wise, concurrently i put an advert on ebay where one can add a dozen pics, if anyone enquired from apollo, i passed on ebay details with additional info, i priced the boat at a sensible realistic price, and i went in a few days, ebay ad removed, hey presto, no fees

  5. My old Mobitronic charger expired about a year ago, ive a decent pair of solar panels that keep me fully sufficient for 8 months of the year.

When looking for a replacement, i came across this ring charger. http://www.warmstrong.co.uk/shop/accessories/ring-battery-chargers/ring-smartcharge-pro-12v-35a-battery-charger-rscpr35

Great build sturdy quality, cracking functions, and bonus of a plug in remote display, its mounted in the engine compartment, directly behind the baulkhead where i lay my weary head, and can say the fan assembly is totally silent, well recommended.
