well I can safely say me and TG are no longer banter virgins! Excellent weekend. Nice to put faces to names. Well done Smudge for organizing it. Pity there was no time for a jamming session. Next time maybe? And you are so right Mr Fincher dogs have no conception of the clock going back an hour! Hopefully catch some of you before you go if not Safe journey to all.

There was plenty of water yesterday when we came down it was running over all the bottom gates of the flight. Unless that was bad locking causing that. If we can't moor under the top lock we shall probably dip up the Leicester Line.

Shall we do a list of boat names going who don't mind another boat breasting up? I'll start

We have met members both north and south and we have yet to come across anyone who isn't nice. Some of these people have been travelling companions, some have come out specially armed with windlass to help lock wheel, some have helped with maintenance others have helped with other things like solars, others just content to make friends. I won't attempt to name everybody we have met this year in case I forget someone.
Each and everyone is a testament to CWDF and we count them all as friends. Long may the forum continue.

Why not get La Farge involved. Fill their barges up with alluvial loam and let them sell it for the free use of their barges. After all that stuff is the reason why the land around the Trent is rich for arable crops.

4am at Weston on Trent heading towards Willington. hope this helps ally. According to another boater moored here, they have been down here before and they seem to think they having a mooring at a marina beginning with "C" nearby. Would this be Cuttle Wharf? Its the only place myself and TG can think of.

A while back I wanted to post some pictures of the newbuild widebeam we had built in poland and have now been happily living aboard for over a year! I was having a lot of difficulty with the technicalities of posting pictures so I hope this first attempt can be seen ok?
On photobucket choose the Direct Link option and ignore the insert image option on your posting box on here.

It is, even in winter and cheaper too!
We used to pop back to the house during the week and return to the boat every weekend. Then we reversed that strategy and only returned to the house at weekends. Now we only return to the house every 31st of February and that's only to see if it's still there and the off-spring haven't sold it on Fleabay!
31st of February? Have you left the offspring in a parallel universe?

My Insurance (CraftInsure) specifically includes members of my family being covered to use the boat. It is standard wording, not an "extra".
