Well Christmas came and went, and I did get loads of 'boat' pressies... I was a great experience seeing the boat delivered on time and in great shape. We are really happy with the finished product. Now to get on board and do the work on our side! Will post some pictures when I learn how to do it.

Still very excited, but sometimes feeling totally overwhelmed! Going to have to accept that no matter how much research I do or questions I ask this is a massive learning curve and we are just going to have to get on board and carry on learning! Have changed boat spec to 60 x 10 and the work is now well underway. Delivery to be confirmed for late January, early Feb.

Also have now moved from most/all of my friends and family thinking i'm mad to want to live on a boat, to everyone getting quite interested and excited.... would you believe it.

Waiting for boat delivery early next year. As its a 'sailaway lined +' there will be quite a bit of fitting out to do which i'm really looking forward to. All I can do at the moment is learn as much as I can which is a challenge but good fun. Its getting really cold now - will do best to make it a nice warm boat. lol

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and to canal boating! However, i've now sold my house and I'm having a widebeam 65x10 built as my new home. I've learnt a lot already reading through forum posts which are really useful! The forum seems like a great place to discuss the relevant issues and i'm looking forward to talking to you and helping if I can (once I'm sure I know what I'm talking about)!!
