Yes Ara is the butty, Archimedes is the motor.

*POSTPONED*
Hi guys, sadly as I have to work this weekend, BSP and I have agreed to postpone our mini-banter by one week to the 15th.
Sorry!
Pep
-
seeing as BSP has done a much better job than I would have done creating the thread, I shall add my support and encourage you all to attend
The pub is the cover of this years Good Beer Guide so it's firmly CAMRA endorsed for all you lovers of proper beer.

Bodmin looking lovely in the sunshine today:
-
when are you viewing? Bodmin is right round the corner from me.
-
I'm banging on the door but there's no room at the inn (apparently!)
-
Nice to see our two made the, erm, cut.
ahh there's more on photobucket, i just didn't want to clog the forum.
-
a couple of shots from today:
view from the bridge
tug of war
variety of bows
motor and butty

The tug of war made me chuckle a lot, advice to someone complaining about the cheating with additional tugs, get yourself a tug next year!
Have various pics of the shenanigans, not sure where to post them!

Well, it'll be a bit of pot luck I'm afraid as everywhere I look online I can only find sketchy details of what's happening. No tmes seem to be published anywhere so I'll just head down when I can and see what I can see.
ask and you shall receive:

We'll be at the Ricky festival on the sunday, possibly the saturday also.
We're also just off the GU near cassiobury park but there's not many great places for a beer round here!

Can anyone recommend a good long lasting durable windlass?
Length?
Material?
Is it better to get a twin windlass (with both size holes) or two singles?
Confused of Watford

They are VERY helpful, until something goes wrong.
I sent a parcel to another CWDF member - too long a story to relate here, just google "parcel2go reviews"
- I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole
now, where's me coat......
fair comment. i've not had any problems with them personally!
-
We live just off the canal near Cassiobury Park in Watford, so this is an open offer to help anyone travelling through the local area.
(we're not that experienced but keen to learn and happy to do as instructed!)
-
I'll admit I'm not sure if they will handle oversize objects but in the past I have found http://www.parcel2go.com/ very helpful, they act as brokers for a lot of the major delivery companies, removing the need for you to have an account, will do remote pick up etc as well.
-
out of interest how long have they had a base there? I only moved house from there in january!
-
shame the 14th is a friday otherwise would come down to lend a hand, we're only a five minute walk from watford
-
with regards to long term parking,
a lot of storage units, ie shurguard, offer car parking, all secure, keycode access, cctv etc.
the one i use in hayes. w.london you can see your car from the canal.
