  1. Hi Doorman yes iam a very keen boater love hiring in the the winter! yes on Saturday morning whne we left our overnight mooring at Barbridge Junc there was an old chap on the Junction asking us to be very careful passing his wooden boat moored up. when we passed the boat he was shouting at us saying we shouldnt be moving in this weather! it was all good fun!
  2. i just cant beleive that such a good boating community turns into such a horrible nasty group of backstabbers and nasty people. iam 23 and had a fair few holidays on the canal around 8/10 a year. but i suffer with dyslexia. and yes i have passed my RYA inland waterways just because i cant spell doesnt mean i cant skipper a boat. or help out a single handed skipper doing locks etc. and were i have promoted myself??? if you read it properly it says " to help people skipper there boat!

"doesnt take much i may add" not too fussed to be honest just wondering were our first over night mooring will be as long as we make barbridge junc "doesnt take much i may add" thanks David and Julie that sounds a bit more realistic! hapy cruisng DAVE
  11. Hi fellow forums members. this is my first topic so please be gentle!!! iam setting off from Middlewich on Thurs and was wondering how long it would take to cruise up to Wrenbury? have done the Llangollen canal lots of times but always started at Ellsmere or Trevor so never been the full lengh only as far down as Wrenbury so will be nice to see Hurlston Junc/locks. This will also be my first Winter cruise. have cruised in late october and early march every year though so not much difference only the hours of day light! happy boating Dave
