As Nb Lola says, it's people that are at fault and those people are us. It needn't be you leaving the paddles up but if you see a "fellow boater" as Rat T describes and don't offer advise and/or assistance then we are as guilty as though we left the paddles up ourselves.
I appreciate that sometimes any help to advise or assist can be aggressively declined but better to offer and get told to raffle yourself once in 10 times I feel.
Often "can I help you with that" is appreciated.

I wish that I could do that.

The strong smell probably only diminishes because you get used to it.
Gas can smell strange sometimes though.

Watch out for a free one in one of the Waterways mags that are usually inserted at this time of year.

Rubber car mats will do.

Dress smartly.
That excludes somebody on this additional prerequisite as well as all the other stuff that bombs him out as well.

Red dot disappeared when I tried to zoom in.
I appreciate that this is just a demo but I would be on at this price, who wouldn't be?

One thing is for sure. The referendum will be free and fair and in the end, democracy will prevail and what the majority want they will get.
Its for the voters that don't get their way to be grown up about it and make the most of the situation.
Please consider though, if you don't like the result, there is a Korea (career) for you elsewhere.

I rest my case.
I really wish you would.
Your comments have no relevance to the post that you comment on.
You appear to get confused and a bit mixed up on what racism and democracy is.

As many have said, I like Boris, he makes me laugh.

Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Utter bollox!
Speak for yourself, not me comrade!
But I do speak for myself.
Comrade? Really? Do people still speak like that?

Tonka, I'll be there and voting on 23rd June.
That's if you don't mind of course?

Says you in South Africa
Only in South Africa for another 6 weeks.
In any event, I didn't know that I needed to quote my National Insurance number before voicing an opinion.
I am not talking to South Africans today, especially those related to the players who scored the winning runs off the last ball of yesterday evening's match.
Messed up my last post,
I meant to add that I wasn't talking to South African today either.
I will though, be at the game tomorrow.
England lost it rather than South Africa winning it, satisfaction tomorrow.

At this very critical time of our historic negotiation with the EU on Britains membership I am sure that all members will agree with me and say thank God David Cameron negotiated this and not that scruffy Labour Party bloke.
-
Say what you will about Mr Trump. America is a democracy and if he wins a democratic election then he will be elected as president.
That's how the world works.

Signed.
I also grew up in St. Helens (tough, for a Wigan lad!). I don't remember much mention of it at school. I remember fishing at the hotties, is that part of it?
Yes, The Hotties are in the centre of town. I think we all fished and swam in there at some time.
How much emphasis was placed on the canal at school probably depended on the history teacher I would think and only for "in house" tests and exams.

Yes, voted.
Incase anyone gets a bit confused, to give the Sankey Canal it's full title, it would be The Sankey Navigstion or The St Helens Canal. It can and has also been called, The Sankey Brook Navigstion. In any case, and by any name, this canal was the first canal of the industrial revolution and constructed purely for the ease of movement of goods for commercial purposes at the start of The Industrial Revolution.
It's an ironic fact that The Rainhill trials were held on the outskirts of St Helens.
Much is owed to the St Helens area and it's a shame that The St Helens Canal is no longer navigable for its entire length.
Yes, I was brought up and educated in St Helens and we were taught to be proud of the Town and The St Helens Canal and thier contribution to modern Britain.

You would have to wonder why The BoE would have a boat built.
Floating gin palace or load it with bullion and cruise away inconspicuously.
-
A ball and chain would be more convenient
Richard
Wont she complain?
-
If in doubt, tell the truth. Usually works and turns out ok.
Your place of residence is an easy one to get caught out on and my attitude towards someone that withholds a fact is to wonder what else has been withheld.
Regent canal.

It was when we were here last year but now there is a gate from the road
