needles on tow path
This is becoming a problem on the tow path in Rotherham needles being left under bridge number 33 Greasborough RD, I have contacted the CRT who have said it will be a priority for them to deal with unfortunately they haven't, the reason for the needles being here is that a needle exchange service is provided at the Greasborough RD walkin centre next to the canal the users collect there needles then walk round the corner to the bridge use them and just discard them for anyone to pick up, canal users with children and pets are at risk from being infected by these needles I have spoken to the Rotherham walkin centre and was told its not their problem, well just who's problem is it then, well it seems it's our problem as it puts us at risk surely the Rotherham NHS trust have a care of duty to all its users and not just those few who misuse drugs and leave the needles for anyone to find. I have spoken to the local Labour councillor Mahroof Hussain and the Rotherham Advertiser who want to discuss this matter, discussion's are cheap we want action.
