matty40s
Looking out of the window yesterday a boat went past at silly speed, the bearded fellow wasn't letting off even though boats were moored both sides and had his yellow reflective coat on just to let us know he was allowed to go this fast as he was emergency services. The moored boats had their ropes stretched and the local ducks and swans took to the bankside. 15 minutes later saw a yellow jacketed fellow trotting the opposite way down the towpath. Another 10 minutes and breathless fellow comes into the office "I don't know whether you can help but I have my rope caught round my propeller,it won't come off and don't know what to do, I've only just started boating" There were at least 2 comments of "perhaps you were going too fast" before proper advice was given.

Sea Dog
Gilet Jaune - his high speed protest was a public expression of his concern at his boating rights being eroded by people shouting "slow down"!
