Live Aboard in Scotland

Hi,

My husband and I are giving serious thought to buying a widebeam to live aboard with our 2 kids up here in Scotland. We were wondering if many other people up here do this? I know there are many with families down in England who live aboard but am not sure if numbers up here

There are certainly wide beam liveaboards on the lowland canals in Scotland but not sure if they have children or not. 

You need to check for mooring vacancies with Scottish canals in the area you wish to live in and you could walk along the canal and speak to other boaters and find out more about living afloat - the pros and cons ?
