Could possibly be the de compressor lever adjuster come loose inside the valve cover.
BWM
It may just be some air entering one of the injectors.
john.k
I would lift the rocker cover and be sure you havent got a sticky valve, broken spring,or a loose adjuster.......Running with the cover off will also get you closer to the noise. RLWP
If you remove the bit of wire linking the two decompressors, you can then operate them separately. With the engine running, operate them one at a time and see what happens If all is well, the engine revs will drop on each cylinder by roughly the same amount If one cylinder isn't running, operating the decompressor on the other cylinder will stop the engine CAVEAT! Diagnosis by forum is very nearly impossible. Richard
john.k
Maybe the broken bungee cord has lost its tension.
Roxylass
No no good bungee cord stops the raised hand start from turning while engine running so no rattle from the chain i will try and do a video tomorrow of me starting the engine and operating the compression levers one at a time I will do m☹️y best
