You are allowed to put up to 7kgs into the waste, it must be in a special 'tiger striped bag' so it can be seperated at hand sorting plants.

 

As C&RT have no control over 'how much' could go into their bins (100 boaters a week, each putting a kg into the bin?) they have been told by Biffa that must ban the deposit of human waste - hence C&RTs rules about 'waterless / composting' toilets.

Bins found to have human waste will not be emptied but will be charged for.

How do they know it contains human waste unless they empty it?  What about dog waste, in some respects even worse?

Its like the bins at Hawksbury not being emptied because the lids were open. Jobsworths. Time that they got folks willing to get the gloves on and do some work.

We had Biffa Bins, but recently changed to Veoila - they both have the same T&C

 

The rental cost per bin and emptied ("the lift") fortnightly is £45 per month.

 

I wonder how many 100's of bins C&RT use ?

And how much extra do they charge if they can't access/tip it due to overloading

Why should someone get their gloves on because you want to dump your s**t in a bin when there is already a system for disposing of it . CRT don't buy the bins they belong to whoever has the contract for collecting the waste

Nothing - if the lid doesn't close they dont take it - any excess stacked up at the side will ONLY be taken by arrangement if they forgot to come and pick up last time, or bad weather etc.

A hot coal fire produces smoke which smells of coal. A hot wood fire produces smoke which smells of wood. So follow that train of thought to its conclusion.

I don't think single 'deposits' on an already hot fire would create a detectable smell. More concerning would be the process of transferring the waste to the fire in the first place. It needs testing out somewhere remote first.

Those expensive incinerating toilets don't create any smells apparently.

Are any of you familiar with a Lota? They look like a plastic teapot, but larger. Very popular in Asian. You can buy them for any Asian shop. We diss covered them during lockdown when the great ‘toilet paper race; began. Ladies, you just fill it with water, and instead of wiping, when you are seated you point the pot spout ‘there’ and wash. Dry with a towel. No paper used. You can use it for poop too.
