philjw
Not very helpful replies so far. Have you found a plate with the serial number anywhere on the engine? I know little or nothing about Lister engines but I suspect the serial number may give away the model. See if this helps: http://realdiesels.co.uk/identitydata.html Edited November 18, 2018 by philjw Add link

L1sterSR2
It's a ST. The SR do not have the cut outs in the rocker covers the ST do.

Well done, I'm surprised someone else didn't say exactly the same 5 hours and 46 minutes before you.
bizzard
The ST valve covers are taller and sort of squarer than the SR'S as well. Oh and they have a couple of cut outs for head studs too.
