Hello

Does anyone know of any decent moorings within 30 miles of Birmingham? Ideally with on-site storage or near self storage places?

Thanks for helping.

It may generate better replies if you indicate if your require 'full residential' or leisure usage, (or unofficial residential allowed on leisure moorings with a 'nod & a wink').

Are you looking for a mooring with a 'garden shed' sized storage, or a 40' shipping container type of storage ?

The more info you supply the nearer your requirements the suggestions will be.

Try Kings Orchard marina.

It’s close enough to Brum and there’s a 40 minute direct train from Lichfield Trent Valley to New St station.

If you can get a gold mooring, you get your own toilet & shower room that you can use for storage.

We had 2 years there, and it’s well run with a really good pub a 10 minute walk down the towpath.  The Plough at Huddlesford serves great food and real ale.

If you are non-residential, then Tamworth Cruising Club could accomodate you/your boat. At the rear of the site is a container storage facility!!

Thanks Alan,

We are looking for a garden shed type storage (or similar size small container).

Preferably anywhere that doesn't mind ' liveaboards'.

Also, thanks all for your kind suggestions so far.
