Tachometer cable BMC 1.5

If Calcutt can't help I suspect you will have to look in vintage machinery magazines and with a bit of luck you will find someone who can make new inners up fr you. They may need your ends of the outer to fit on a new length if that is what is needed.

Personally, If I were going to keep the boat I would mod the alternator (if needed) to get a phase tap and fit an electric one. Probably less trouble.

Are the cables anything like those used for motorbike speedometers? If so that could be another source.

I think the screw on end fitting at the engine end is rather larger than a "car" speedo cable and the outer was very different. All from about 1 50 year old memory so cant be 100% certain.

I think these are like the cables that were used on BMC sports cars, Healeys MGA etc.  They ran off the rear of the dynamo. Try the specialist car restorers?

I think I have seen some driven from the camshaft on the back let hand side if the engine. If it si dynamo driven then it should be much easier to get a replacement.

you are right, an electric would last for ever i think, i just dont know how do it, and what the costs would be.

Might not be long enough. I believe that the Nuffield tractors had BMC 1.5 engines so there is a good chance that the fittings are the same.

Alternator off and to a specialist to have a phase tap soldered on if there is no W terminal, probably about £20

Tacho from about £45 (ebay) to around £100 but make sure it is NOT for connecting to an ignition coil.
