Lock 92 Castlefield padlocked

Featured Posts

Both block & tackles padlocked with non watermate locks. Does anyone know why, there's no signage or stoppage notice. Don't really like being at the 7 day limit with a notoriously over eager lengthsman on the prowl.

Ah.. ok. So hopefully they sort it before Sunny sinks our boat

From the lack of news about Sunny these days I wonder whether he is now in shackles ?

Must admit I have been along there many times over the past two years and never seen him.

Note to self: Must try harder to encourage him?

Last time I tied up on the Runcorn branch he was there in minutes. It's a 'shame' Peel make it such a faff to just pay up. Would happily cough up the cash for a few weeks a year and would love to use Pomona lock.

What's stopping you using Pomona Lock?  Just phone up, book, and pay.

Bridgewater license needed paperwork via post last time, is a call enough for Pomona?

It was when we did it last year.  You need to give at least 48 hours notice, IIRC, and they will only operate it at certain times, but it was easy to arrange.  Decent mooring at Salford Quays, outside the Holiday Inn.

Don't you need all the MSC paperwork?
