Many thanks in advance, you chaps and (especially!) chapesses have already been so helpful!

I have 7 of them and a friend of mine has 4. They are fine, and have provided (up to now) 2 years of trouble free use.

They are no trojan but perform well enough.

Cheers Glynn, there’s no substitute for personal experience!

looks a good price. A bonus of them being sealed so no messing about.  Fit, use and bin then replace.

It does unless you recharge them a few times, rather than discarding once flat as mrsmelly recommends...

What about these. 113260154210 on eBay. No connection with the seller.

AGM 120Ah (20hr) - £125 seems like good value

  • 1 month later...

Just thought i'd resurrect my old post to give you dudes an update!

Old batteries came out - they were about 65kg each and ended up being milk float batteries... poor Jon nearly did himself an injury getting the buggers out......

New batts (slightly smaller in size thank god!) in, wired up and working well..

BM1 monitor doing its thing fine....

Solar doing as well as it should in November!

Water pump replaced and no leaks anywhere....

Sat on towpath (in warm bote!) having taken a week away from our mooring as it looks like we'll be stuck for three months ish from Jan 3rd when CRT start work on Bridge 6. Feeling very happy and almost smug, it's been an utter swine of a year for us (family bereavements etc.) and i can't wait to see the end of it - but we have achieved quite a lot notwithstanding, and i'd just like to send out a big

thank you

to everyone who contributed help and opinions and laughs on this forum.
