Felshampo
Hi Does anyone know if it is safe to leave a boat in March for a few days. I am moving it towards the Little Ouse but need to leave it somewhere safe in between the weekends.
john6767
I thought the public moorings there were time limited. There is always the marina if you need longer.

PaulJ
I got stones thrown at the boat by the local kids last weekend on the visitor moorings. Maybe a one off but would go to Foxs personally if leaving your boat. Friendly bunch in there too.

How about Peterborough embankment did you moor there? I should be there the night before going to March. Sometimes go round the corner as if going to Dog in a Doublet if there is a fair on etc.. You can also moor further out at Awalton or Ferry Meadows if you are going through Stanground later or dont mind getting up early.
Mike Todd
40 minutes ago, Tim Lewis said: March moorings are 48 hours, thee are next to no online moorings in March for quite a distance There are almost no 'rough' moorings on the Middle Level - make sure that you know the designated mooring places and time your journey accordingly The popular ones (including March) can easily fill up well before the end of each day. At least new steps have been taken to prevent people staying indefinitely on the town moorings which makes it a little more likely that space can be found. It is a place worth taking time to visit. We looked to moor in March for a week a few weeks ago on the way to the Great Ouse, the nearest place we could find to moor was above Marmont Priory lock!
