Replacing Starter Motor

Hello,

The starter motor on our Lombardini LDW1404 has packed in so need to get a replacement. Have found a few suppliers on line, just wondering if there's anything I need to be careful about / look for when re-wiring?

Also does anyone know if any special mounts / fittings are required as the aftermarket ones don't seem to come with anything?

Thanks in advance.

Malcolm

If you have the right starter it's just a nut and bolt job. If you need any further parts it's the wrong starter.

I think my starter might need the words "engine out and" adding to that!  It's definitely far too deep and too "upside down" for my liking -  and I've done a few awkward bu%%ers on motor vehicles! :D

The moral of this story for the OP is: if you can get to the motor relatively easily, anything else that complicates the job is small beer!  Good luck.
