Only if your tethering is not limited. Your T&Cs with the supplier will answer this.

I have just taken out the 'next one down' (30gb option) and they said that I could use 100% as a hotspot if I wanted. If I happened to go 'over' then it would be disabled, it would not rack up huge charges.

I could either increase the data allowance, or, wait until the next month's allowance starts.

 

Reading the contract details it actually says :

Free 3-to-3 calls

Your monthly charge of £17.00 will be billed ……………...

Actually I highlighted that the 100GB had a 30GB tethering restriction on it....
