Victron Inverter with genny - settings?

Just to let you know (thanks Pearley!) - I managed to adjust some settings on the Victron, just using the dip switches. The manual said that the battery should be disconnected before doing this, so I did that, and then ran the genny, but the inverter wasn't particularly happy without the batteries connected - it kept clicking and switching about. However, I did get long enough to change from setting 3 to setting 1 (so it is in fixed charge now with absorption set to a healthy 6 hours. Now it works fine - sometimes going from bulk to absorption, and back - but mainly in absorption (14.4v) so at least charge can go into the batteries properly.
