Unlikely and an unnecessary slur. Freebody's were and probably still are, a very successful traditional wooden boat builder and repairer. Been in business for decades with an excellent reputation. Peter Freebody died a couple of years ago though. 

 

One of my customers works there and last time we spoke he said their order book was huge. This was several years ago however.

The corrugated sheds that are on Platts Eyot Hampton are listed buildings so they can't develop the site. Rather stupidly though is that the buildings don't have to be maintained. So the ones at Hampton have either blown down or burnt down. The corrugated church in Deepcut is also listed
